LINEBACKER COACH

COACH key

Coach Donte' L. Key is a native of Franklin, Kentucky, where he was a three sport athlete at Franklin Simpson High School. Donte' was All State in football, All State Honorable Mention in basketball, and ran track. Graduating in the class of 1991, he continued his education and playing football at the University of Kentucky where he received a scholarship to play linebacker.

Coach Key graduated from University of Kentucky with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work. He then began his high school coaching career at Lexington Christian Academy as the Defensive Coordinator. Key then became the Defensive Line coach at Lafayette High School. Coach Key then moved on to coach for six years some of the best talent that's come out of Lexington in the Fayette County Parks and Recreation, before moving to Bryan Station High School where he has been coaching the past six years, the last as the Defensive Coordinator.

He has been married to Nicole Key for the past 22 years. They have two sons, Devon, who is a Freshman at Western Kentucky University on a football scholarship, and Dane who is a seventh grader at Bryan Station Middle School and plays football, baseball, and basketball. Coach Key is currently employed as a Federal Probation Officer of the Eastern District of Kentucky.  This will be Key's 17th year in his position.
